Just a few samples of my work...

Below you'll find a few samples of pieces I've done in the past. In each case I've tried to tell you a bit about it, then give you a small sampling of the writing. Direct Mail

This client was looking to draw more customers into their direct mail business by way of their own direct mail piece. Because the piece was being mailed during basketball season, they wanted it to pick up that theme. My job was to sell their service, but say it in basketball terms. I used the following and it seemed to work.

This is another direct mail piece I wrote. This client manufactures sports tapes and wound care products.
We did an entire campaign using animals and the sports theme. Alot of fun!

Data Sheets

This is an example of a data sheet I wrote. The client here designs and manufactures EEG machines and writes software to run on them.

This is another example of a data sheet I wrote. J&J and KMart teamed up and created a Diabetes Care program. This piece went out to Diabetes patients via their pharmacies. I needed to come up with short but sweet descriptions for all the products on the sheet.

Brochures and Flyers

This was a challenging brochure to write as it was appearing in a display rack. We had to draw the customer in with only the top two inches of copy, then keep their interest long enough to make them pick up the phone!

Newsletters

I wrote this newsletter on a quarterly basis for a Federal Credit Union. It was always a fast and furious job, but it was fun to come up with some catchy themes and headlines!


...Bills...credit cards, car payments, home repairs, medical bills, college tuition...when faced with bills you can feel as if you've just had a house dropped on you!...Don't be afraid! Take the witch's broom and call United Teletech's "Wizards of Loans"...

There's this coffee place in town, Muddy Waters. I love it. Put it this way, when I walk in, they start making, my usual...it's fabulous. Their only question to me on any particular day is, "Leaded or Unleaded?" Well, these guys held a contest to see who could design the best bumper sticker. I was one of the winners! That means that I got $25 to spend on my usual! (Now you may think that's not a great prize, but you've never been to Muddys...) Can you guess which one they picked?
